Would you mind shedding a little light on the lunch situation? Its my understanding that the kids are eating outside...sitting on the ground. I know the cafeteria space is not ready. What is the plan?
Dear Julie, This is something that also concerns me. What has happened is that the fire Marshall did not approve the commons area. We have to put in another emergency exit. I will be at the architects tomorrow to discuss this situation and to see in what part of the process we are in. We are waiting to have the plans approved by the state so that we can then begin with the process of installing the door. As soon as the door is installed, we will start using this area. I know that it is hot outside, I am frequently out there with the students; however, I think that we should take advantage of the beautiful weather that will soon come to an end! I understand your concerns and am working at solving this situation as fast as the law permits.

Thanks Karl - I wonder how the new assessment tests will compare to the NWEA testing that ISC currently uses to guide instruction during the school year. I wish they would finish developing them sooner than 2014!
